Paul started racing in 1992, and joined Houlihan Lokey in 2013. A highlight in his cycling resume was qualifying for the Empire State Games four times. He loves time trials, towing the field around for his team mates, and leading out. Paul grew up in Brooklyn, moved out to Long Island and decided to stay because the riding is better. He teaches high school English.
Herniated disc injury sustained in 2013 prevented him from racing his bike, but not from running the Long Island Marathon.
Still owns his first road bike, a 1980 Raleigh Rapide.
